Worldwide Shipping

Worldwide shipping from Quito

Ecuador Shops ships handmade Montecristi Panama hats and Ecuadorian wood carvings from Quito to the United States and the rest of the world. Shipping is never complimentary. The buyer pays the courier charge and any import duties on delivery.

How an order leaves Ecuador

  1. We pack the piece in Quito — hats in a travel case, carvings in fitted protection.
  2. The parcel goes out with an international courier (DHL or FedEx, depending on the route).
  3. You receive a tracking number by email once the parcel leaves Quito.
  4. At destination, the courier collects duties and taxes from you before or on delivery (DDU — Delivered Duty Unpaid).

United States

The US de minimis exemption of USD 800 is suspended. Every parcel into the United States clears customs, regardless of value. Ecuador Shops does not collect US duties at checkout and does not quote a duty percentage as an official rate. The courier bills you the amount your customs entry requires.

What we do not do

  • We do not offer free shipping.
  • We do not pay destination duties on your behalf.
  • We do not invent or guarantee a duty rate in checkout.

Questions

Who pays import duties?

The buyer. Duties and taxes are paid to the courier under DDU terms.

Can I ship a gift to the United States?

Yes. Add gift wrapping and a handwritten card in Quito. The recipient still pays any duties the courier assesses.

How do I ask about a size or a carving before I order?

Write to support@ecuadorshops.com or WhatsApp +593 98 273 8121. First-time orders can use code QUITO10.
